Located in Delray Beach, Florida, this 50 acre park is filtering highly treated waste water through it's trees to the tune of 2 million gallons per day. You wouldn't know these trees are hard at work while walking on it's 3/4 mile boardwalk. The area is filled with wildlife, from birds, to turtles, to cute little marsh rabbits if you look closely. Over 150 species of birds have been identified there. The boardwalks have been recently renovated, making this amazing natural area accessible to folks with walkers and wheelchairs. During winter, it gets pretty crowded on the weekends. Many locals and tourists frequent the park. Also people are taking photos with the biggest lenses I've ever seen on a camera. I overheard some people talking who said it's not quite as busy during the week. If you get a chance to go, this one should definitely make the list. And, if you can go when the birds are nesting, definitely do.
