About 56 acres located off US 441 just north of Hillsboro, this natural area in Coconut Creek is a wonderful place to stop and enjoy a little nature in the middle of your day. Whether you choose the sidewalk through the Pineland Trail with a dense canopy of pines, oaks and palms, or the boardwalk through the Prairie Trail you are quickly immersed in the sights and sounds of nature. Both trails are short, less than a quarter mile each, so you can easily walk one or both of the trails on your lunch hour or on your way home from work. We encountered a gopher tortoise near the bathroom and a raccoon between the trails. Butterflies and birds abound.
